Assembly Equipment Operator

The primary functions of a Mezz Stocker/Picker is to put-away built/unbuilt assembly product to the proper location, to pick product to be assembled and to Pick chairs to be shipped.
Major Duties and Responsibilities

- Count received product to verify inventory accuracy

- Identify space needs and make appropriate adjustments

- Relocate staged material to proper locations

- Double stack pallets of product to save space using a pallet stacker

- Use scanning gun to make inventory movement entries

- Pick product to be assembled

- Document picked product for assembly stats by builder

- Audit locations for inventory accuracy

- Maintain proper appearance of assembly room
- Pallets: sorted and stacked neatly and safely

- Inspect and maintain electric pallet jacks and pallet stackers

- Observe all the safety requirements of Bob’s Discount Furniture.

- Report hazardous situations immediately to Assembly Manager if unable to correct yourself.

- Pick product for Cross Dock deliveries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Solid knowledge and competence on RP scanner gun

- Excellent physical condition

- Ability to move and lift heavy objects

- Good verbal and listening skills

- Strong interpersonal and human relations skills

Reporting Relationships

- Report to:  Assembly Manager

Desired Qualifications

- High School diploma

- Warehouse experience
