About the role

Founded in 1922, CTC includes iconic banners and businesses such as Canadian Tire, SportChek, Mark’s, PartSource, Gas+, Triangle Rewards, Canadian Tire Financial Services, and CT REIT, supported by a national network of retail and gasoline outlets and tens of thousands of people across Canada.

As the AVP, Triangle Digital Product, you will lead the product strategy, vision and delivery of digital experiences that support the Triangle loyalty program and create value for customers across Canadian Tire’s businesses. You will be accountable for defining a clear product vision and multi-year roadmap, translating enterprise priorities and customer needs into product opportunities, and making the prioritization and investment decisions required to deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes.

Leading a team of digital product leaders and product managers, you will build strong product management capabilities and establish clear product ownership, accountabilities and ways of working. You will work closely with Loyalty, Technology, Canadian Tire Bank, Lifecycle Marketing, Data and Analytics, and Store Operations to discover, build, launch and continuously improve products and experiences that make Triangle simple, connected and engaging for customers.

What you will do

- Lead, coach and develop the Triangle Digital Product organization, building strong product leadership, product management and customer-centric capabilities.

- Set the product vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for Triangle’s digital products, experiences and capabilities.

- Establish clear product ownership and accountability, ensuring product teams understand the customer problems they are solving, the outcomes they own and how success will be measured.

- Translate business priorities, customer needs, insights and market opportunities into clear product strategies, roadmaps, backlogs and investment priorities.

- Lead product discovery and development, using customer research, data, experimentation and testing to validate opportunities before and after investment.

- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and business case through development, launch, adoption, optimization and ongoing product health.

- Make clear product prioritization and portfolio trade-offs, balancing customer value, business impact, technology considerations, delivery capacity and investment.

- Partner closely with Technology and other business teams to create effective cross-functional product teams with shared ownership of outcomes.

- Ensure Triangle's digital products provide a consistent and compelling expression of the Triangle value proposition across customer journeys and touchpoints.

- Define meaningful product KPIs and success measures, including customer adoption, engagement, experience, business value and product health.

- Use customer insights, behavioural data and experimentation to continuously improve products and identify new opportunities.

- Lead annual and quarterly product and portfolio planning, prioritization, budgeting and resource allocation.

- Strengthen product management practices and the product operating model, improving discovery, prioritization, governance, decision-making and speed to value.

- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, influencing enterprise decisions and creating alignment around the Triangle product agenda.

- Represent Triangle Digital with senior leaders, clearly communicating product strategy, roadmap, performance, risks, trade-offs and decisions required.

What you will bring

- Significant progressive leadership experience in digital product management, ideally within loyalty, retail, financial services, digital commerce or another scaled consumer environment.

- Proven experience leading a product organization and product management teams, including developing senior product leaders and product managers.

- Demonstrated experience defining product vision, strategy and multi-year roadmaps for scaled customer-facing digital products.

- Strong understanding of product discovery, product development, experimentation and continuous product improvement.

- Experience owning products through the full product lifecycle, from identifying customer problems and opportunities through launch, adoption, optimization and ongoing investment decisions.

- Demonstrated ability to use customer research, behavioural data, analytics and experimentation to make product decisions.

- Proven experience making product prioritization and investment trade-offs across competing customer, commercial and technology priorities.

- Experience establishing or evolving product operating models, product governance and ways of working within a complex organization.

- Strong strategic, commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to connect product decisions to measurable customer and business outcomes.

- Experience working closely with engineering, technology, design, data, marketing and business teams to deliver products at scale.

- Demonstrated ability to translate enterprise strategy into practical product roadmaps, investment plans and measurable outcomes.

- Excellent executive communication, judgment and influence skills, with the ability to simplify complex product decisions and create alignment among senior stakeholders.

- A strong customer orientation and passion for building simple, connected and valuable digital products.
