Commercial Loan Closing Specialist

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Loan Closing Specialist to support efficient and effective commercial lending operations. In this role, you will contribute to the accurate and timely execution of loan closing activities while supporting a strong risk and control environment. The position offers an opportunity to collaborate with business partners, strengthen operational processes, and deliver consistent service to customers. The role aligns with the Chief Operating Office’s focus on operational excellence, execution discipline, customer centricity, efficiency, and effective controls.

In this role:

- Work on pre-close documentation for moderately complex commercial loans

- Coordinate loan closing activities and help ensure accurate and timely completion

- Perform customer, loan, and regulatory due diligence

- Accurately review, evaluate, and enter loan information into systems of record

- Review and prepare commercial loan documentation in accordance with established requirements

- Support compliance with applicable bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

- Coordinate documentation activities with internal teams, Corporate Legal, and third-party sources, as applicable

- Collaborate with Credit, Sales, and Legal partners to address documentation requirements and help ensure alignment with negotiated terms and compliance standards

- Review complex legal documentation, identify documentation risks, and escalate or support resolution of issues as appropriate

- Serve as a key point of contact for internal business partners throughout the loan closing process

- Provide guidance and share knowledge with peers on processes and documentation requirements

- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve business goals

- Exercise judgment within established procedures while continuing to develop knowledge of commercial loan closing processes, policies, and compliance requirements

Required Qualification :

- 2+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

- Ability to review loan information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance requirements

- Experience working with loan systems or systems of record
