Configuration Specialist

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

This is a fixed term contract up to 12 months.

As the Configuration Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining accurate, current and reliable information in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring it remains fit for operational use.

You will be working within the Service Visibility Squad, this role helps maintain ServiceNow’s IT Operations Management (ITOM), CMDB, Service Mapping and Discovery capabilities. Together, these provide end-to-end visibility of technology services, environments and their interdependencies, enabling teams to identify and resolve issues earlier, reduce operational risk, minimise unplanned disruption and make better-informed decisions.

The role delivers day-to-day CMDB administration and maintenance, including updating configuration item (CI) and service information, investigating data quality issues, fulfilling service requests and completing regular health checks.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

- At least one year’s experience in a Service Management role, such as Technical Change Management, Problem Management or Service Desk; an Engineering role involving Service Management processes; or a Project Administration or Project Coordination role.

- Experience working in a large or complex enterprise environment.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience using ServiceNow

- Experience in ITIL and Configuration Management or Asset Management

- Experience of agile methodologies and best practice
