About the role
Dermatology Franchise Health Equity Lead
ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer's US Dermatology franchise is a fast-growing and high-priority therapeutic area, anchored by two inline priority products — CIBINQO and LITFULO — and a pipeline that includes tilrekimig, a potential first-in-class trispecific biologic being studied in multiple indications.
· LITFULO is a JAK3/TEC molecule that received approval in June 2023 and is the first and only FDA-approved treatment for severe alopecia areata (AA) in adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. LITFULO is also expected to gain approval for a new indication in 2027.
· CIBINQO is an oral JAK inhibitor for moderate to severe Atopic Dermatitis that received FDA breakthrough designation and was approved in the US in January 2022.
While skin diseases occur in all racial and ethnic groups, people of color may be disproportionately affected by certain skin conditions in terms of disease prevalence, severity, and how diseases present clinically. Our vision is to create a world in which people of all skin tones feel seen, heard, and cared for from the burden of physical, emotional, and mental symptoms of dermatologic diseases.
The dermatology franchise has made significant investment in health equity initiatives, particularly through its “Every Color is Primary” (ECIP) platform and collaborations with organizations such as the Skin of Color Society.
The Dermatology Franchise Health Equity Lead will be responsible for shaping and executing the US and Global health equity strategy across Pfizer’s Dermatology portfolio, ensuring that every patient and healthcare professional has equitable access to education, resources, and our innovative therapies. This role will serve as the enterprise champion for embedding equity into commercial strategy, omnichannel engagement, clinical trial reach, community partnerships, and thought leadership. The leader will drive measurable impact while modeling Pfizer’s values of Courage, Excellence, Equity, and Joy. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, communication, passion for health equity, and agility in a highly dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. The selected individual will report to the Dermatology Franchise Co-Lead.
