Job Description:
The Digital team at 7-Eleven is reimagining how consumers view convenience. As a Product Manager, you'll lead development of new experiences that will not only transform the business but will shape our digital future. Product managers define product strategy, develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward. You’ll work closely with our software teams to define product requirements and coordinate resources from key stakeholders. You'll also be responsible for identifying and tracking KPIs as you build these experiences.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized product leader with strong customer empathy and technical acumen, experienced in shaping end-to-end digital products across customer-facing experiences and the systems and services that power them.
This Role:
As Product Manager III for Order Management, you will shape and own key parts of the end-to-end order journey across customer-facing digital touchpoints and the underlying back-end capabilities. You will improve discovery, usability, conversion, and reliable order fulfillment across the journey.
The customer journeys and operating model for this space are still to be discovered and defined. You will lead that discovery with customers, associates, business partners, design, and engineering; map current and future-state journeys; identify gaps and edge cases; and translate those findings into a coherent product vision and roadmap.
This role requires product-level system-design expertise for a complex, interconnected system. You will work with Engineering and Architecture to define how front-end experiences, services, APIs, data, and integrations work together across the order lifecycle, balancing customer needs, operational realities, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
30% Strategy & Planning
· Owns the product roadmap for a specific functional area, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise goals and managing dependencies with adjacent product teams.
· Translates the enterprise vision into actionable product strategies by developing a deep understanding of 7-Eleven customers and associate needs to deliver a seamless shopping experience.
· Apply domain expertise to identify Order Management opportunities and turns high-level goals and discovered customer needs into clear product outcomes, requirements, and a prioritized roadmap.
· Leads discovery and journey mapping for customer and associate experiences that are not yet fully defined, including identifying unmet needs, pain points, assumptions, and opportunities across pre-order, order placement, fulfillment, and post-order interactions.
· Collaborates with peer PMs to ensure a cohesive user journey across different touchpoints of the enterprise ecosystem.
· Analyzes the business impact of proposed features, prioritizing the backlog to maximize ROI and support the overarching enterprise roadmap.
· Defines and tracks key success metrics (KPIs) and analytics for specific features, using data-driven insights to recommend and implement product refinements.
· Develops data-backed business cases for new initiatives, ensuring they are timely, feasible, and aligned with departmental objectives.
· Partners with Engineering and Architecture to define the product and system design direction, technical roadmap, and cross-system dependencies needed for a scalable, sustainable end-to-end order experience.
· Defines the intended end-to-end order lifecycle and its key states, business rules, data needs, and exception paths, in partnership with business and technical teams.
50% Delivery & Execution:
· Leads the product development lifecycle by partnering closely with engineering and design to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality features.
· Works with user research and testing team to formulate, test and refine assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing.
· Ensures value delivery by mapping every feature and user story back to enterprise goals and defined KPIs.
· Identifies and clears blockers within the product team to maintain development velocity and meet technical and financial milestones.
· Prioritizes the product backlog by balancing incoming stakeholder requests against user needs and the long-term product vision.
· Clearly define requirements, acceptance criteria, and functional logic for both front-end experiences and back-end capabilities, accounting for operational workflows, system behavior, and cross-product dependencies.
· Monitors product performance post-launch, analyzing usage data to inform tactical adjustments and future iterations.
· Promote operational excellence by identifying process improvements that enhance team efficiency and internal customer satisfaction.
· Partners with Engineering to define and deliver connected capabilities across the order lifecycle—for example, helping discover available inventory, select an available item or service, review and accept terms and pricing, complete payment, see balances or status updates in real time, receive a post-order receipt, and ensure inventory and order records are updated appropriately.
· Defines requirements for real-time and near-real-time customer and operational views, including order status, balances or usage where applicable, inventory availability, and post-order changes; addresses reconciliation, failure states, and edge cases with technical partners.
· Makes informed product tradeoffs across customer experience, business rules, APIs and integrations, data consistency, security, performance, and operational support; ensures decisions and dependencies are clearly documented.
· Validates that delivered functionality works end to end across the interface and supporting services, including relevant integrations and operational processes, and monitors outcomes after launch.
20% Team & Stakeholders:
· Fosters a highly collaborative environment with Engineering, UX, and the Business to drive product value and resolve day-to-day impediments.
· Operates as a hands-on practitioner of modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum), ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
· Serves as the "Voice of the Customer," empathizing with customer pain points to ensure the final product solves real-world problems.
· Maintains transparent communication with the product team regarding progress, lessons learned, and upcoming milestones.
· Manage stakeholder expectations by providing data-backed rationales for prioritization and educating partners on the product development process.
· Contributes to the PM community by participating in "Communities of Practice" and sharing learnings regarding modern design and development core practices.
· Partners with senior leadership to provide visibility into product health and contribute to the evolution of the broader product domain.
· Aligns business, operations, customer support, design, engineering, and architecture partners on the end-to-end journey, system behavior, launch readiness, and ownership of operational outcomes.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital product management.
· 2 - 3 years of experience in design thinking, customer empathy, agile / scrum, etc.
· Demonstrated experience translating customer and business needs into product requirements spanning customer-facing applications and back-end systems, services, or integrations.
· Experience partnering with Engineering to define system behavior, data flows, integrations, and end-to-end functional design for a complex digital product.
Preferred Qualifications :
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
· MBA or master’s degree.
· 5+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing mobile or web products.
· Familiarity with modern mobile architecture, APIs and experimentation practices.

· Experience with Order Management or adjacent domains such as e-commerce checkout, payments, inventory, fulfillment, marketplaces, or other transaction-heavy products.
· Ability to reason about complex system design with technical partners, including APIs, service boundaries, data consistency, real-time updates, failure handling, and operational workflows.
