About the role

Job Description:
Dentsu Performance Studio is looking for a creative and skilled Director of Photography (DOP) with a passion for visual storytelling and performance-driven video content. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience shooting social media ads, Instagram Reels, UGC, and DVC content using both professional cameras and smartphones.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Creative Strategists and Directors to understand concepts, storyboards, and visual requirements.

- Plan and manage shoot requirements, including cameras, lighting, equipment, props, and rentals.

- Execute shoots using professional cameras and iPhones, ensuring high-quality visuals and creative storytelling.

- Manage lighting, framing, composition, and shot execution in line with the creative vision.

- Coordinate with production and post-production teams to ensure seamless shoot execution.

- Maintain and update a library of creative references, camera techniques, compositions, and visual inspirations.

- Manage production equipment and execute shoots across assigned projects while maintaining quality and timelines.

Requirements:

- 2–3 years of experience in video production/advertising agencies.

- Hands-on experience with Sony FX series, Canon, and Nikon cameras.

- Strong understanding of cinematography, lighting, composition, and videography.

- Experience shooting Instagram Reels, Meta Ads, UGC, and performance-driven content.

- Ability to shoot using both professional cameras and smartphones.

- Understanding of Hi-fi and Lo-fi video production and fast-paced ad formats.

- Strong creative vision, ownership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

- Prior experience shooting UGC/Meta Ads will be an added advantage.
