TiLT | Part of Howden Retail UK&I

Location: Home-based, with regular travel to London, Peterborough and partner locations as required.

TiLT (Part of Howden Retail UK&I) is on a mission to make business insurance simple, fast and fair.

We're looking for a commercially minded Director of Trading & Distribution to join our growing business. This role sits within TiLT, a fast-growing insurtech that is reimagining business insurance through straightforward, digital-first solutions for modern businesses. Having launched recently and now backed by the strength and scale of Howden Retail UK&I, TiLT offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a business with significant growth ambitions.
The Director of Trading & Distribution will be responsibile for shaping and delivering TiLT's distribution strategy, driving insurer trading performance and building new routes to market. You'll work across insurer partners, internal stakeholders and external distribution channels to turn commercial opportunities into sustainable, profitable growth.
Whilst strategic in nature, this is not a role for someone who prefers to lead from the sidelines. As a growing business, we're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys building, problem-solving and delivering outcomes. You'll be equally comfortable developing strategy, negotiating partnerships, influencing senior stakeholders and rolling up your sleeves to make things happen.

What You'll Be Doing

- Developing and executing TiLT's trading and distribution strategy.

- Growing distribution through Howden businesses, third-party brokers and strategic partners.

- Building and managing relationships with insurers to optimise trading performance, product availability and commercial outcomes.

- Identifying and launching new partnership opportunities, including broker, affinity and embedded distribution models.

- Using market insight, performance data and customer demand to drive growth and improve results.

- Working closely with colleagues across data, technology, operations, compliance and marketing to bring propositions to market.

- Helping shape the future commercial structure of TiLT, including the opportunity to build and lead a team as the business continues to grow.

What We're Looking For
We're interested in individuals who bring a combination of commercial expertise, strategic thinking and a strong delivery mindset.
You'll likely have:

- Significant experience within insurance trading, distribution, broker management or business development.

- A proven track record of delivering profitable growth through distribution partnerships and insurer relationships.

- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.

- Experience influencing and building relationships across complex stakeholder environments.

- The ability to translate data and market insight into clear commercial action.

- An entrepreneurial approach, with the energy and adaptability to thrive in a growth-focused business.
