Electrical HVAC Project Engineer

Johnson Controls is supporting exciting data center projects across Finland, where you’ll help deliver the critical HVAC infrastructure these facilities depend on. You’ll work closely with site teams and stakeholders, solve real technical challenges, and develop highly relevant expertise in one of today’s fastest-growing sectors.

What you will do
As an Electrical HVAC Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of HVAC projects across Finland. You will manage electrical project activities from planning through commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver HVAC electrical solutions including power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and Building Management Systems (BMS).

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate HVAC electrical project activities from execution to handover.

- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.

- Collaborate with customers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

- Review technical documentation, drawings, and commissioning plans.

- Ensure compliance with Finnish and European electrical standards, as well as safety and quality requirements.

- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of HVAC electrical systems.

- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

- Support customer satisfaction through effective project delivery and communication.

What we look for
Required

- Solid experience in electrical engineering within HVAC, building automation, industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.

- Fluent English skills.
Preferred

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Building Management Systems (BMS)

- Motor Control Centers (MCCs)

- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

- HVAC Controls & Automation

- Power Distribution Systems

- Electrical Installation, Testing & Commissioning

- Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP)

- Project management certification (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2, or equivalent).

- Finnish language skills.
