Summary:
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Guadalajara North. Reporting to the Sr . Equipment Maintenance Engineer the Equipment Maintenance Engineer’s role involves: Mechanical:  Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipm.

What a typical day looks like:

- Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.

- Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.

- Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.

- Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.

- Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.

- Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.

- Records times and problems in equipment logs.

- Provides daily equipment functioning activity information.

- Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.

- Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.

- Aligns repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- Typically requires an associate degree in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training.

- Allocating work to a team of fitters.

- Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.

- Fitting new parts.

- Experience with SMT equipment such as ASMPT/P&P, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, AOI, SPI, Glue Dispensers, and Press-Fit systems.

- Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on electronic manufacturing equipment.

- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

- Knowledge of SMT processes and electronics manufacturing environments.

- Carrying out quality inspections.

- Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns.

- Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.

- Keeping production managers informed of progress.

- Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.

- Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computerized systems.
