Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Senior Fund Structuring Officer reporting directly to the Head of Fund Structuring - Japan Desk. The team is part of SSBIL’s Japan Desk and supports clients’ fund projects from initial design through implementation, working in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the documentation required for the launch, restructuring and liquidation of investment funds administered by SSBIL, with a particular focus on Cayman Islands and other offshore investment fund structures. The role requires the ability to take ownership of fund projects and progress them independently in coordination with the relevant stakeholders.
Why this role is important to us
You will be joining the Investment Services function that allows us to deliver a comprehensive, holistic approach to each client relationship — for asset managers and asset owners, insurance companies, and official institutions globally. It means our client-facing functions work together to bring the very best solutions and services the firm has to offer — across all of our locations, products, and capabilities.
Join us if making your mark on the long-lasting client relationships we build is a challenge you are up for.
What you will be responsible for
As a Senior Fund Structuring Officer, you will:
- Support the structuring, restructuring and termination of investment funds.
- Prepare and draft legal documentation relating to fund launches and lifecycle events, including offering and constitutive documents.
- Coordinate fund projects from initiation through implementation and completion, working with clients and relevant internal and external stakeholders, including external legal counsels and fund service providers.
- Manage agreed project timelines, identify dependencies and outstanding items, and ensure appropriate follow-up and escalation.
- Provide corporate and administrative services for relevant funds administered by the Bank.
- Review, file and maintain fund documentation in accordance with applicable requirements and internal procedures.
- Manage and follow up on invoices from external legal counsels.
- Support the provision of domiciliation and corporate services to incorporated investment funds.
