About the role
Be part of the team that keeps the employee experience running well every day.
It is an exciting time to join the GN family. We are growing and transforming our business in new ways, and this role will be an important part of that journey. As HR Specialist in GN’s People & Culture team in Kladno, you will support an emerging European market. With support from the global P&C community, you will work independently while collaborating closely with managers, employees and P&C colleagues across Czechia and the wider GN organisation.
You will deliver high-quality HR support throughout the employee lifecycle and play a vital role in our mission of Bringing People Closer.
You are someone who gets the details right, builds trust through collaboration, and combines a friendly, responsive approach with sound judgment. You are comfortable asking questions and thinking critically.
This is a hybrid role, with regular on-site presence in Kladno required each week and additional on-site support during key operational periods, onboarding waves, payroll cut-off and ramp-up activities. While flexibility is available where the work allows, this is not a fully remote role. Building relationships with employees, Team Leaders and local Operations on site will be an important part of your success.
The Team you will be part of:
You will be part of a scale-up environment. For the first few months, you will work from home while the new office in Kladno is being completed. You´ll join a team of three in Czechia and report to the Head of HR. Your focus will be on delivering a broad range of HR operational services across the organisation. We work closely together, share knowledge and continuously look for ways to improve our services, processes and impact.
Beyond providing strong day-to-day support, you will help shape a more proactive and business-relevant HR Operations function.
We value different perspectives and believe strong results come from combining operational excellence with curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to improve how we work.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
- Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers, providing clear guidance and support on HR-related questions and processes
- Manage employee lifecycle transactions: onboarding, hires, transfers, organizational changes, terminations, and data changes
- Handle requests with a high level of quality, accuracy, and timeliness
- Prepare employee documentation and maintain accurate HR records, including contracts and employment changes
- Coordinate with Payroll on hires, changes, and terminations
- Partner with P&C Business Partners, Talent Attraction Partners, and managers
- Maintain high data quality and compliance (incl. GDPR) in HR systems and files
- Contribute to cross-functional HR initiatives, continuous improvement, and AI-enabled ways of working
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:
- Bring some years of experience from HR administration / HR Operations in a larger international company
- Understand Czech employment practices and labour-law requirements relevant to employment documentation, working time, shifts, overtime, absences, leave, employee records and terminations.
- Have hands-on experience supporting blue-collar and shift-based employees, managers and Team Leaders; manufacturing, logistics or warehouse experience is strongly preferred.
- Have what it takes to be a trusted advisor towards the business and partner effectively with managers, employees, and colleagues
- Bring solid experience with Workday or a similar HR system, along with a good understanding of HR processes and relevant legal requirements.
- Work in a structured way with attention to detail and high data quality in a changing environment
- Combine a friendly, service-oriented mindset with independent, critical thinking and the confidence to ask questions and push back constructively
- Communicate clearly in Czech and English, and build trust through effective collaboration.
- Can handle confidential and sensitive information with care
