About the role
Key Area of Responsibilities
- Provide hands on infrastructure, PC & end user support.
- L1/L2 end user coverage for standard desktop/user applications, desktop/mobile hardware troubleshooting and break fix, Zoom video conference support, user on/off-boarding arrangement, IP phone support, etc.
- Assisting IT Manager with daily IT operations (backup tape management, patch deployments, AV updates, start of day checks.)
- Install, support & troubleshoot Microsoft Operating systems and products
- Software & hardware Inventory management and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
- Ensure security and compliance in the end user computing space.
- Assist in 1st Level support of internally developed and vendor provided business applications. Bloomberg/IRESS, Internal trading applications/CRM Tools.
- Datacentre (DC) project activities like network, server setup in racks, troubleshooting and escort & assists vendors in DC.
- Rack & Stack of Data Center equipment.
- Datacentre inventory management including cabling, patching, and standby support on weekends. Logging vendor cases, arranging clearance to DC.
Requirements
- At least Bachelor's Degree or above in Information Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience inIT platforms and system support in relevant areas across mobile and workspace, Windows desktop, network connectivity, voice technologies and datacentre management is desirable
- A strong end user focus and can-do attitude
- Great communication and strong interpersonal skills
- The flexibility to deal with conflicting and ever-changing priorities
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- Experience in providing face to face and remote Support for internal/external applications
- Good command of written and spoken English due to need to liaise with various stakeholders
- Analytically minded, logical problem solver who is able to think outside the square
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
- Open to be on Standby after office hours for Datacenter issues
