AYVA Packaging is looking for a motivated Junior Project & Automation Technician to join our growing Operations team in Wetherill Park.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in manufacturing, engineering, automation or project management. You'll work directly with our Project & Technical Manager, supporting exciting projects involving new machinery, automation systems, product development, robotics and continuous improvement initiatives.
No university degree is required. We are looking for attitude, mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
What You'll Be Doing
You will assist with:
- Machinery installations and commissioning projects
- Maintenance and technical troubleshooting
- Production trials and new product development
- Process optimisation and continuous improvement
- Factory automation projects
- Equipment testing and validation
- Technical documentation and reporting
- Working alongside experienced technical specialists and external suppliers
About You
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- A genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
Bonus Points If You Have
- Trade assistant experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Mechanical or engineering studies
- Experience using tools and machinery
- Forklift licence
