Job Summary

The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love for you to be a part of it as our Measurement Technician.

iRoofing, a Porch Group business, provides comprehensive roof reports featuring accurate measurements that clients rely on to assess the scope and cost of roof replacements. In response to growing demand, we are expanding our team of Virtual Technicians. In this role, you will analyze roofing architecture using proprietary web-based tools to produce detailed measurement diagrams. Beyond delivering high-quality work, you will contribute to team effectiveness, support continuous improvement, and help scale operational excellence. Selected candidates will participate in paid training and receive ongoing support through live, collaborative learning.

What You Will Do As A Measurement Technician

- Use iRoofing’s proprietary software to accurately diagram roofs from aerial imagery

- Analyze building architecture and apply sound judgment to complete complex or non-standard diagrams

- Manage incoming work efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet quality and turnaround expectations

- Communicate clearly and effectively in English (written and verbal) using company tools

- Take ownership of quality and accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies or edge cases independently

- Provide constructive feedback to improve tools, workflows, and team output

- Contribute to process improvements and documentation, including updating training materials and shared resources

- Support onboarding and integration of new team members by sharing knowledge and best practices

- Act as a developing subject matter expert (SME) in roofing diagramming, tools, and workflows

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and team performance

What You Will Bring As A Measurement Technician

- Strong comfort with technology and web-based tools; ability to learn systems quickly

- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a high-volume environment

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote team setting

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to interpret visual data and make informed decisions

- Preferred: Experience with Xactimate or roof sketching tools

- Preferred: Prior experience in production, operations, or technical roles requiring accuracy and throughput

- Proven experience working with US based business teams

- Excellent written and communication skills in English language

- This role requires full and ongoing overlap with Porch’s U.S. EST business hours ( 7:30 PM IST – 3:30 AM IST ). A Night Shift Allowance is applicable for this position in line with company policy.

- Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member

Pay Range*: 693,800 - 971,300 INR annually
