About Tessera Labs

Tessera is an AI-native platform for enterprise transformation. The multi-agent platform delivers governed execution across ERP, CRM, HCM, and finance systems, cutting timelines from years to weeks and costs by more than half. Built on deep expertise across Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Workday, and other systems of record, Tessera addresses the scope a system integrator would have traditionally taken up with the speed of execution and efficiency of an AI-native platform.

For decades, enterprises have struggled with fragmented business systems, where migrations have consumed hundreds of millions of dollars, data stayed inconsistent and unreliable, and business processes slowed under manual review. Tessera was founded to change that, for Oracle and every other system enterprises depend on. The name itself — a tessera, a single tile in a mosaic — reflects our mission: unifying the disparate pieces of the enterprise into a coherent whole. Tessera is an AI-powered, multi-agent platform that harmonizes systems and lets teams work in plain English.

Role Summary

We are looking for an Oracle Integration Technical Architect and SMEs to build and run the integrations that connect Oracle systems, across several customer engagements at the same time. You will work hand in hand with our US-based Oracle Integration Architect: the architect sets the target landscape and the patterns, and you turn them into integrations that work — how data moves, on what schedule, under whose credentials, and what happens at three in the morning when it does not.

Your centre of gravity is Oracle Integration (OIC Gen 3) and the Oracle Fusion Cloud integration mechanisms around it — REST and SOAP services, FBDI, BI Cloud Connector, BI Publisher and business events — on the OCI services underneath. Most of our customers are mid-journey: Fusion live or going live, E-Business Suite still running parts of the business, and a middleware estate that needs to be rebuilt or retired.

You will also need hands-on E-Business Suite integration experience — PL/SQL APIs, concurrent programs, open interface tables and the Integrated SOA Gateway — because much of our work is moving interfaces off EBS, and you cannot rebuild an interface you do not understand.

You will do this work with Tessera's AI agents every day, and this is one of the best places to learn how. The platform inventories the interface estate, traces dependencies, profiles the data and generates a large share of the integration build and tests. You direct the agents, review and correct what they produce, and decide what is right for the customer. Every pattern and fix you contribute goes back into the platform, so your work is reused across customers instead of being left behind on one project. Few integration engineers are working this way yet, and the experience you build with AI agents here will shape the next stage of your career.

Two outcomes define the job. The first is integrations that work in production and that the customer's own engineers can operate, extend and debug without us. The second is that the Tessera platform and its agents do a growing share of that work, with your patterns and checks built into how the agents operate.

Why Join Tessera

- Work with AI agents every day. Agents generate integration flows, mappings, test data and documentation that you direct, review and improve, giving you hands-on experience with agentic engineering that few integration engineers have yet.

- Learn from senior architects. You will work directly with our US-based Oracle Integration Architect, our Principal Architects and our AI engineers, on modern Oracle Integration Gen 3 and OCI.

- Shape the platform, not just the project. The patterns, connectors and checks you create become part of the Tessera platform and are reused across customers, and your field input goes straight to our product and R&D teams.

- See more in a year than most see in five. You will work across several enterprise customers and landscapes, covering Oracle Fusion Cloud, E-Business Suite and non-Oracle systems.

- Grow with a new capability. Tessera's Oracle technical capability is being built now, and early team members help set its standards and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

1. Integration Build and Delivery (45%)

- Build integrations in Oracle Integration Gen 3 to the target design and patterns set by the Oracle Integration Architect: app-driven and scheduled orchestrations, adapters, mappings and lookups, and the connectivity agent for on-premises systems.

- Implement the Fusion Cloud integration mechanisms that carry the load: FBDI through UCM with ESS jobs and callbacks, the ERP Integration Service, Fusion REST APIs, BI Publisher reports invoked over REST, BICC extraction to Object Storage, and HDL or HCM Extracts where HCM is in scope.

- Build E-Business Suite interfaces and their replacements: PL/SQL public APIs, concurrent programs, open interface tables, business events and the EBS adapter.

- Design for failure in every flow: idempotency, retry and resubmission, error handling and notifications, throttling, and reconciliation reports the business can run.

- Implement the security set-up the architect defines: OAuth 2.0 and JWT flows, identity domains, certificates and secrets in OCI Vault, and least-privilege integration users.

2. Engineering Standards, DevOps and Testing (20%)

- Follow and help improve the integration standards: naming, error handling, logging and tracing, reusable components and documentation.

- Use source control, CI/CD and environment promotion for OIC projects and OCI infrastructure, and help introduce them where customers do not have them yet.

- Test thoroughly: unit and end-to-end integration tests, test data, volume and failure-scenario tests, and regression testing for Oracle's quarterly updates.

- Support Gen 2 to Gen 3 migrations and the retirement of SOA Suite, OSB and hand-built interfaces, with evidence that nothing still depends on them.

3. Building with AI Agents on the Tessera Platform (25%)

- Use the Tessera platform and its agents as your default way of working: agents inventory interfaces, trace dependencies, profile data and generate integration flows, mappings and tests, and you direct, review and approve the result.

- Correct and improve what the agents produce, and capture your fixes as reusable patterns, connectors and checks in the platform.

- Help design the agent workflows for Oracle integration: which steps agents take on, where human review sits, and how the workflow learns from each engagement.

- Turn field findings into Tessera platform product input, so one fix serves many customers instead of one.

4. Operations and Knowledge Transfer (10%)

- Leave behind what the customer's team needs to run the integrations: runbooks, monitoring and alerting in OIC observability and OCI, and a clear support handover.

- Support hypercare and resolve integration incidents quickly, then fix the cause rather than the symptom.

- Coach customer engineers and other Tessera team members on Oracle integration and on working with the Tessera agents.

Required Qualifications

- 8+/ 12+ years in Oracle integration and technical development, including hands-on integration work on at least two Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.

- Hands-on Oracle Integration (OIC) experience, ideally Gen 3: integrations, adapters (Fusion ERP and HCM, REST, SOAP, FTP, database and EBS), mappings, lookups, the connectivity agent, File Server, and observability and error handling.

- Fusion Cloud integration experience: FBDI through UCM with ESS jobs and callbacks, the ERP Integration Service, Fusion REST APIs, BI Publisher reports over REST, BICC extraction, and HDL or HCM Extracts where HCM is in scope, with working knowledge of how Fusion role and data security governs what an integration user can see.

- E-Business Suite integration experience: PL/SQL public APIs, concurrent programs, open interface tables, Integrated SOA Gateway and business events, with strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.

- Working knowledge of the OCI services used in integration: identity domains, Object Storage, API Gateway, Functions, Events, Vault and Autonomous Database.

- A solid understanding of integration patterns and failure handling: real-time against batch, file against API, publish/subscribe, idempotency, retries and reconciliation.

- Security fundamentals for integration: OAuth 2.0, JWT, certificates and secrets management.

- Experience with source control and CI/CD for integration work, or a strong willingness to adopt it.

- A real interest in working with AI agents and AI-assisted development, and the judgment to review generated work critically.

- Proven ability to learn a new AI platform quickly and become the person others ask. You will be expected to reach real fluency in the Tessera platform within your first months.

- Excellent verbal and written business English, with strong presentation ability to both business and technical audiences.

- Demonstrated experience in a distributed delivery model, working from India with US- and Europe-based customers and teams, with a structured daily overlap window and strong asynchronous communication discipline.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Who This Role Is Not For

If you are looking for a role where you build interfaces from a specification and hand them over without understanding why they exist, this is not the role — we expect you to question the design when the data says otherwise. If your Oracle experience is mainly functional set-up, with FBDI templates filled in but no integration built end to end, the same applies. And if you would rather keep AI at arm's length than make it part of how you build and test every day, you will not enjoy this role. We are asking for a hands-on engineer who takes pride in integrations that do not break, and who wants to help define how that work is done with AI agents.

Preferred Qualifications

- Oracle Integration Gen 3 delivered in production, and experience of a Gen 2 to Gen 3 migration.

- Experience moving interfaces from SOA Suite, OSB, BPEL or hand-built interfaces to Oracle Integration.

- Bulk and streaming data movement: OCI Data Integration, GoldenGate, Kafka or OCI Streaming.

- EDI and B2B integration, and integration with third-party tax engines such as Vertex or Avalara.

- Visual Builder or Process Automation within Oracle Integration.

- Integrating Oracle Fusion with non-Oracle systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Workday or Coupa.

- Experience building with AI agents, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or LLM-based developer tools beyond code completion.

- Oracle Integration or OCI certifications, for example OCI Architect Associate or an Oracle Integration certification.

First-Year Measures of Success

- Month 1: Fluent in the Tessera platform. Productive on at least one engagement, building integrations to the agreed standards with the Tessera agents.

- Month 3: Owning the build of a set of integrations end to end, with source control, environment promotion and tests in place. Your first reusable patterns or checks contributed to the Tessera platform.

- Month 6: Trusted by the Oracle Integration Architect and the customer's engineers as the go-to person for how integrations are built and run on your engagements. A growing share of your integration build generated by Tessera agents and reviewed by you.

If you want to build Oracle integrations with AI agents, and grow with a team that is defining how that work is done, we would like to hear from you.
