PDE Post Electrical Material Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Support packaging material qualification activities for trays, carrier tapes, formed end caps, moisture barrier bags (MBB), desiccants, and humidity indicator cards.

- Assist in planning and executing material qualification tests such as ESD, flatness/warpage, dimensional checks, drop, vibration, strength, banding, and water leak tests.

- Collect test data, perform basic analysis, and help prepare qualification reports and documentation.

- Apply quality and statistical tools (such as basic SPC, 8D concepts, or JMP) under guidance to support root cause analysis and problem solving.

- Operate laboratory tools and equipment for material testing and failure analysis with proper training.

- Maintain good laboratory practices including 6S, sample organization, and asset tracking.

- Support supplier quality activities by helping review incoming material issues, documenting defects, and tracking corrective actions in collaboration with senior engineers.

- Assist in managing material changes and updating related documentation under guidance from KMG or site teams.

- Ensure laboratory equipment and tools are used properly and report any issues related to tool condition or calibration.

- Actively learn and share lessons learned and best practices within the team.

- Work closely with cross‑functional teams, peers, and suppliers to support day‑to‑day material engineering activities.

- AI (LLM) capable for work efficiency enhancement.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

- Fresh graduates or candidates with internship/project experience in materials, packaging, or manufacturing are welcome to apply.

- Basic understanding or strong interest in packaging materials and semiconductor manufacturing.

- Familiarity with basic quality and problem‑solving tools is an advantage.

- Willingness to learn hands‑on laboratory testing and material qualification processes.

- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

- Ability to follow procedures, manage multiple tasks, and support global teams.

- Basic knowledge of supplier interaction or quality systems is a plus but not required.
