Poultry Vaccination Technician

Job Description Summary:
We are seeking an outstanding individual who will be responsible for vaccinations, bird moves, male selection, grading, cleaning, and disinfecting all equipment involved to ensure bio-security. All duties should be performed with safety, bio-security, and animal welfare being top priorities. This role plays a critical part in overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds. Job Description:

- Work with day old chicks

- Will be required to collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinations

- Must be able to work with live animals and the associated environment (poultry houses)

- Collect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birds

- Must follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security policies and procedures

- Ability to work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfects, etc.

- Must perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trained

- Must be able to be around farm related smells or odors and loud/noisy environment

- May occasionally work up to 6 days a week, including some holidays, & weekends.
