Quality Assurance Engineer- Software (Junior/Graduate)

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for conducting software testing across the entire Windracers software stack (with oversight from QAL2), supporting issue resolution and leading the implementation of the technical documentation system (with oversight from the Quality Lead).

Role Scope

• Testing of software systems

o Carry out testing of all software systems to a high standard

o Clearly and concisely report repeatable issues to other teams

o Work with QAL2 to improve and develop testing plans

• Supporting Issue Resolution

o Triage issues on the service desks and prompt design team members to deal with issues

• Developing the technical documentation

o Using the antora system, develop the technical library such that we have clear and correct technical documentation packs for all hardware and software variants

o Support others in contributing to the technical library and in using and understanding Antora and ASCII docs.

Experience

- Strong background in STEM, logical reasoning and general engineering principles

- Great attention to detail and a passion for a high-quality product

- Good understanding of business needs and the ability to focus on the issues that matter to the customer

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience writing technical documents

- Right to work within the UK

- Willingness to undertake a BPSS
