The full list of our global benefits can be found here: Lonza Careers Benefits .
What you will do:
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, tracking and distribution of reagents, manufacturing samples and pilot samples across three site buildings.
- Organise outgoing sample and reagent shipments, ensuring materials are prepared and delivered to the shipping department on time.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct stock checks and monitor consumable levels, proactively identifying and communicating shortages.
- Prepare and manage reagent stocks, including labelling, aseptic aliquoting, inventory registration, storage and distribution.
- Perform routine checks of cold storage facilities to help ensure materials remain stored under appropriate conditions.
- Support sample disposal activities in collaboration with Quality Assurance (QA), and process batch documentation by scanning and saving records to designated locations.
- Work with scientists, manufacturing support teams and project stakeholders to maintain sample traceability, accurate documentation and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and data integrity requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, laboratory or other regulated environment is beneficial, particularly in sample coordination, inventory management or materials handling.
- A good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), quality requirements and accurate record-keeping.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining sample traceability and data integrity.
- Good computer skills and, ideally, experience using laboratory sample management systems such as a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across scientific and operational teams.
- A relevant scientific degree is desirable but not essential. A proactive, reliable approach and a willingness to learn are equally important.
Please note: This role is based on site in Slough and follows a Tuesday-to-Saturday working pattern, 10:00am–6:30pm. Additional weekend or bank holiday working may be required in line with operational needs.
