About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit team in Singapore, supporting our audit coverage across the Asia Pacific region.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, Europe & Asia Pacific, the successful candidate will play an important role in delivering the Internal Audit strategy and providing independent assurance over key risks and controls. The role combines hands-on audit leadership with senior stakeholder engagement, regulatory awareness and people management. This is an opportunity to join a regional Internal Audit team and work across a diverse and evolving business and regulatory environment.

What you’ll do

- Lead and deliver risk-based audits and reviews, from planning and risk assessment through execution, reporting and follow-up, ensuring high-quality work is delivered within agreed timelines.

- Contribute to risk assessment and audit planning, helping identify emerging risks, changes in the business and regulatory developments that should inform Internal Audit coverage.

- Provide credible, independent challenge to management on risk, control and governance matters, escalating significant issues appropriately.

- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, corporate and control functions while maintaining Internal Audit’s independence and objectivity.

- Maintain a strong understanding of emerging risks and regulatory developments and assess their implications for the business and Internal Audit.

- Support the delivery of the broader Europe & Asia Pacific Internal Audit strategy, collaborating with colleagues across locations and specialist audit teams.

- Oversee audit issues and remediation, providing appropriate challenge and helping ensure that significant risk and control matters are addressed effectively.

- Manage and develop one team member, setting clear objectives, providing regular coaching and feedback, and supporting their professional development.

- Promote a strong risk and control culture and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of both audit activity and the wider control environment.

- Represent Internal Audit professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for
An experienced audit, risk or assurance professional who can operate with a high degree of independence and credibility in a senior stakeholder environment.

You will bring:

- At least 15 years of strong experience in internal audit, risk, controls or a related assurance discipline, ideally within financial services.

- The ability to lead complex audits and form clear, evidence-based conclusions on risk and control matters.

- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to constructively challenge senior management.

- Good understanding of the financial services risk and regulatory environment, with an ability to identify and respond to emerging risks.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly.

- A collaborative approach and an ability to work effectively with colleagues across businesses, functions and geographies.

- The ability to coach and develop others, while remaining personally engaged in audit delivery.

- Sound judgement and discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential matters.

- An undergraduate degree, relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
