Senior Service Operations Manager

At a Glance

Based in Western Sydney, NSW, the Senior Service Operations Manager will lead the launch and ongoing operation of one of Australia's most advanced automated distribution facilities.

As the senior onsite leader, you will build and develop a high-performing team, oversee the transition from project delivery to operational service, and drive a culture of safety, customer focus, and operational excellence.

You will be accountable for site safety, service delivery, customer relationships, team performance, and financial outcomes, ensuring the operation consistently meets customer and business expectations.

Your Impact

- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing site operations team, creating a positive and engaged culture.

- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders, serving as the primary operational contact.

- Drive a strong safety-first environment where people are empowered to work safely and continuously improve.

- Drive operational performance, service levels, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Lead workforce planning, performance management, and capability development.

- Partner with technical and support teams to maximise equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

- Manage site performance, costs, and customer outcomes.

- Ensure delivery of agreed service levels, operational KPIs, and customer satisfaction outcomes.

- Lead the successful transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations and ongoing service excellence.

- Manage operational performance across safety, team engagement, service delivery, customer experience, and continuous improvement.

- Coordinate with internal and external technical specialists to ensure equipment performance and operational reliability.

- Lead incident management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications when required.

What Makes You a Great Fit?

- Proven leadership experience in a complex operational environment such as logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, automation, engineering, industrial services, or a related industry.

- Strong experience leading high-performing teams and building positive team cultures.

- Excellent customer, stakeholder, communication, and influencing skills.

- Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

- Experience leading large-scale operations with responsibility for service delivery and business performance.

- Strong commercial acumen and experience managing operational outcomes.

- Exposure to automation, maintenance, engineering, or technical operations environments is highly regarded.

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is desirable.
