About the role

We thrive on delivering innovative and creative legal solutions that challenge conventional thinking. With offices in Tāmaki Makaurau and Ōtautahi, we're known for partnering with clients to drive meaningful business outcomes while also ensuring that every person at our firm feels valued and supported to reach their potential.

About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor to join our growing Environment and Planning practice.

Working closely with Partner Nat Summerfield, you will have the opportunity to be part of developing and growing this practice in Tāmaki Makaurau, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of resource management, environmental and planning matters.

The work will be varied and interesting, with opportunities to develop your technical expertise, build client relationships and take on increasing responsibility.

Beyond the legal work, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of the practice, including building our profile in the Tāmaki Makaurau market, while developing your own networks and supporting business development initiatives.

About you

We are looking for someone with 1–3 years' experience who has either:

- Experience in resource management, environmental or planning law; or

- A background in property and a strong interest in developing a specialist career in resource management, environment and planning.

You will have strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, curious and enthusiastic about developing their expertise in this area. You will enjoy taking ownership of your work, building relationships and contributing to the development of a growing practice.
