This newly established division operates within the Growth Markets department and is dedicated to facilitating private-sector investment in impact projects across emerging markets. The position affords you the opportunity to engage at the forefront of sustainable finance, structuring bespoke solutions in partnership with public and multilateral financial institutions. You will be entrusted with a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ranging from programme management of Green Climate Fund proposals to deal origination and strategic initiatives. If you possess a genuine commitment to advancing economic development and climate objectives, appreciate a collaborative environment, and demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership this role offers an exceptional platform to effect meaningful change.

* Become part of a newly formed team dedicated to driving climate resiliency and economic development investments across emerging markets, enabling you to contribute directly to transformative projects that shape global sustainability.
* Benefit from working in a supportive team that fosters knowledge sharing, professional development, and inter-personal collaboration throughout international networks.
* Collaborate closely with concessional capital providers, multilateral banks, and government entities to structure innovative blended finance solutions that mobilise private capital and enhance project bankability.

What you'll do:

In the capacity of Vice President within Global Blended Finance in London, you will assume a central role in managing programme activities related to Green Climate Fund financing proposals. Your remit will encompass supporting internal reporting requirements whilst advancing blended finance initiatives through strategic guidance and operational support for new proposals. You will coordinate due diligence processes utilising external sources of information while ensuring rigorous compliance across all project documentation. Beyond duties associated with accredited entities, you will originate blended finance transactions in emerging markets—identifying opportunities autonomously—and develop business development presentations. As the primary contact for climate-related queries concerning blended finance transactions, you will adeptly balance multiple deliverables whilst nurturing robust relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally. Your meticulous attention to detail, organisational acumen, product knowledge, enthusiasm for sustainable finance, and unwavering commitment to excellence will be instrumental as you contribute to projects that advance economic development and climate resiliency objectives.

* Cultivate relationships with National Designated Authorities and key stakeholders to support country ownership requirements for new and existing Green Climate Fund proposals.
* Engage with operational divisions of the Green Climate Fund to ensure all proposals are compliant with relevant policies and procedures, including regulatory adherence and cash management protocols.
* Serve as the principal liaison for internal teams regarding accredited entity operational queries, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across departments.
* Oversee administrative tasks associated with proposal development and project management, including procurement requests, invoice processing, SPV establishment, drafting approval letters, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
* Review submitted documentation throughout project lifecycles to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements such as Annual Performance Reports, Financial Statements, Incident Reports, and standardised templates.
* Lead negotiations pertaining to legal documentation for both existing financing proposals and new initiatives, ensuring all agreements conform to regulatory standards.
* Prepare pipeline reporting for blended finance transactions originated by the London branch, including governance submissions as well as timely internal or regulatory reports.
* Provide support for global reporting requirements by preparing regular presentations for senior stakeholders in other regions.
* Coordinate onboarding processes for Green Climate Fund related entities by liaising with KYC, Legal, Credit, and operational teams to manage client POA, IDs, signature mandates, NDAs, and document registration.
* Originate blended finance transactions independently across emerging markets through proactive business development activities such as direct client outreach and engagement with origination partners.

What you bring:

Your established experience as Vice President in Global Blended Finance encompasses profound expertise in blended or climate finance acquired through extensive, pertinent professional exposure. You offer demonstrable transaction experience supported by a successful deal track record within climate finance or emerging markets—enabling you to navigate intricate projects with assurance. Experience handling Green Climate Fund financing proposals equips you to manage preparation or oversight of funding proposals alongside associated reporting obligations. Previous collaboration with multilateral development banks or development finance institutions enhances your ability to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships. You excel at working independently—resolving queries efficiently whilst managing multiple deliverables under tight deadlines. Your methodical approach ensures reliable performance even when confronted by heavy workloads. Outstanding written and oral communication skills facilitate effective engagement across diverse teams; fluency in Spanish or French further strengthens your inter-personal capabilities. An undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience underpins your technical proficiency while advanced Microsoft Office skills empower you to prepare detailed presentations and manage complex data sets.
