Associate Solution Architect

PFH Technology is hiring an Associate Solution Architect for a 24 month contract position within a large-scale healthcare technology transformation programme.
This role will support the architecture team in the design and documentation of technical solutions for a major digital healthcare initiative. Working alongside senior architects, you will help translate business requirements into technical solution concepts, coordinate architecture activities and support engagement across technical teams, stakeholders and vendors. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Support senior architects in the design of technical solutions and the development of architectural diagrams and documentation.

- Assist in translating business requirements into technical solution concepts and designs.

- Prepare and maintain architecture documentation, technical records and operational handover materials in line with established standards.

- Support the coordination of architecture work programme activities, including scheduling, meetings, documentation management and reporting.

- Track progress against architecture deliverables, identifying and escalating risks, issues and dependencies.

- Assist with the management of interdependencies across technology workstreams and related programmes.

- Support communication and engagement with internal teams, technical stakeholders and external vendors.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of architecture processes, standards and governance activities.

Candidate Profile

- 3–5 years' experience in a technical architecture role.

- Understanding of IT architecture methodologies, processes and terminology.

- Experience communicating with multiple stakeholders and keeping them informed of progress.

- Familiarity with project management and modelling tools such as Visio and Jira.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to understand complex technical issues.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong planning, organisational and documentation skills, with excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently while also supporting senior team members and managing multiple tasks.

- Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing project environment.

- Experience or knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations would be an advantage.
