- Support account-opening and account-maintenance activities, including reviewing requests for completeness and coordinating follow-up where required.
- Document client interactions, actions taken, and outstanding items accurately to support effective follow-up and a consistent client experience.
- Build positive client relationships by listening carefully, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of inquiries through resolution or appropriate escalation.
- Identify urgent, complex, or complaint-related matters and escalate them to the appropriate team in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Protect client information and follow applicable privacy, security, compliance, and record-keeping requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues and internal partners to resolve issues, share knowledge, and improve service processes.
- Complete administrative duties, ad hoc assignments, and other responsibilities relevant to the position as required.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal, is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- At least one year of experience in financial services; experience in a brokerage, discount brokerage, trading, or investment-services environment is preferred.
- Customer-service experience with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of online investing products and services, with experience using trading platforms considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving, investigation, and follow-up skills, with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to organize competing priorities and remain composed in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- A collaborative, accountable, and proactive approach, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), and Trader Training Course (TTC) is an asset.
