EXL is seeking an experienced SmartIQ Developer with 7-8 years of IT experience and strong expertise in designing, developing, and implementing customer communication and digital form solutions using the Smart Communications suite (SmartIQ and SmartCOMM).
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in document generation, intelligent forms, workflow automation, customer correspondence management, and enterprise integrations within Insurance and Banking domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SmartIQ forms, interviews, workflows, and document generation solutions.
- Configure and develop SmartCOMM templates/layouts/overlays/template selectors/data model for customer communications and correspondence management.
- Build dynamic forms, questionnaires, business rules, validations, calculations, and conditional logic using SmartIQ.
- Develop and maintain reusable SmartIQ components and data models.
- Create and manage document generation outputs in PDF, Word formats.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide application support.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Support deployment activities across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.

- Strong experience with:
- SmartIQ
- SmartCOMM
- Experience in interview design and workflow configuration.
- Expertise in template development and document composition.
- Strong understanding of SmartIQ controls, datasets, entities, attributes, and business rules.
- Experience in SmartIQ form lifecycle management.
Technical Skills
- SmartComm
- SmartIQ
- XML / XSLT
- JSON
- REST APIs
Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's in any stream 5-8 years
