About the Role
We are looking for a Carpenter to join our Operations team on our project in Sparks, NV. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constructing and maintaining safety handrails and hole protection, steps and gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection.
- Also does sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, drilling, and other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Experience working with Concrete is a HUGE plus.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Possess 5 years of construction experience .
- Must be able to read basic drawings.
- Have training on construction safety protocols (i.e. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform (boom and scissor).
- This position will provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues.
- Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
- Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
- Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.
Preferred:
- Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
- Must be able to work outside
- Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
- Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
