Experienced CDL Driver? Enjoy Physical Work? Looking for a Better Schedule?
We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Class A CDL Driver who enjoys being on the road but isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the physical side of deliveries.
VP Supply Corp. is a growing, family-owned company, and we're continuing to expand our operations at our Central Distribution Center (CDC) in Shortsville, NY. As a Class A CDL Delivery Driver, you'll help keep products moving between our distribution center and branch locations throughout New York, making sure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
This is NOT a drop-and-hook driving position. Our drivers play an active role in loading, unloading, and handling the products they deliver. You'll be working with a variety of materials, including large, heavy, and sometimes awkwardly shaped pipe that requires significant hands-on handling.
If you're someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in a hard day's work, and wants a consistent daytime schedule with a stable company, we'd love to hear from you!
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Approximately 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
What You'll Do:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer with a 53-foot trailer to transport products between our distribution center and branch locations
- Physically load and unload deliveries , including large, heavy, and awkwardly shaped pipe and other building materials
- Manually lift, carry, move, and position products throughout the loading and unloading process
- Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, liftgates, and other material-handling equipment when available and appropriate
- Properly secure loads to ensure products are transported safely
- Complete scheduled delivery routes safely and on time
- Verify deliveries and maintain accurate paperwork, vehicle logs, and required documentation
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicate with dispatch and warehouse team members to keep deliveries moving efficiently
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- An Experienced Driver: You have a valid Class A CDL and previous experience operating tractor-trailers or similar combination vehicles
- Hands-On & Hardworking: You enjoy physical work and are comfortable spending a significant portion of your shift loading, unloading, and moving materials
- Safety-Focused: You understand the importance of safe driving, proper lifting techniques, and safely securing loads
- Reliable: You show up on time, ready to work, and take your responsibilities seriously
- Independent: You're comfortable managing your route, solving problems, and working without constant supervision
- A Team Player: You're willing to jump in, help others, and do what it takes to get the job done
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- 1–3 years of experience operating tractor-trailers or similar combination vehicles preferred
- Experience loading, unloading, and securing freight
- Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, and liftgates preferred
- Ability to complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and repositioning heavy or oversized materials, including long sections of pipe
- Manually loading and unloading products from a 53-foot trailer
- Handling bulky and awkwardly shaped products that may require additional effort to maneuver safely
- Repeatedly bending, reaching, walking, climbing, and moving throughout the workday
- Climbing in and out of the truck and trailer as needed
- Performing physical work in varying weather conditions
- Safely using available material-handling equipment and team-lifting procedures when appropriate
