CNC Machinist Intern: Fall 2026

Get paid to learn CNC machining while helping make real aerospace parts.

As a CNC Machinist Intern at Acutec, you will work alongside experienced machinists and learn how advanced CNC machines turn raw material into precision parts. This is a hands-on internship where you will be part of the team, not sitting around watching someone else work.
You will learn how to:

- Read blueprints, work instructions, and process specifications

- Load and operate CNC machines

- Set up and run jobs with guidance from experienced machinists

- Inspect parts and use precision measuring tools

- Identify part defects or machine issues

- Handle aerospace parts according to quality procedures

- Communicate job progress and issues with the team
This paid fall internship can work around your college schedule and may lead to continued part-time work or a full-time career after graduation.
Requirements

- Currently enrolled in a college or technical program

- Interested in machining, engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace

- Willing to learn and work with your hands

- Able to follow instructions and pay attention to detail

- Dependable and able to work as part of a team

- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Previous machining experience is helpful but not required

- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and follow all safety procedures
