Duties

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to standardized recipes.

- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations.

- Assist in the planning and execution of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.

- Collaborate with the Dietary Department to meet specific nutritional needs of clients.

- Utilize kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.

- Help train and mentor Dietary Aides or junior kitchen staff as needed.

- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
