Essential Functions
Perform initial assessment in an ongoing, timely, and systematic manner, focusing on nutritional, physiologic, and metabolic status.
Provide individual nutrition counseling to patients and staff per physician’s orders.
Maintain medical records of each patient and document information regarding each patient in a timely, accurate, and concise manner according to Clinic and ADA standards.
Identify patients’ and families’ learning needs and utilize resources appropriately.
Demonstrate competency in certain designated clinical skills such as interpreting lab data, evaluating new products, and interpreting research findings.
Demonstrate an awareness of self-responsibility and accountability for own professional practice.

Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled condition
Travel
No travel is expected for this position other than occasional travel to corporate sites regarding employee relations issues.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience FL Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Dietitian. Certification from the National Board of Diabetes Educators. Previous experience in diabetes education preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Current CPR certification
Current CDE Licensure for Florida
