Engineering Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engineering Specialist specializes in Bill of Materials validation, Process Documentation, and associated tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Audits and validates production processes are correct and being followed.

- Develops Standard of Work (SOW) as needed.

- Performs audits of Bill of Materials (BOM).

- Creates tooling and fixturing for aids in the production processes.

- Submits accurate data to BOM Team for updates to standard BOMs.

- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Preferred Degree:  Associate Degree in Engineering (if applicable)

- Certificate(s) or License(s): LEAN certification

- Years of experience: 3

- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

- Must be at least 21 years old to qualify for this position.

- Microsoft Office

- Process Documentation

- Basic Lean Principals

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum travel may be required to other plants within WRMG

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Light lifting, under 20 lbs.

- Moderate carrying, 21 – 59 lbs.

- Ability to distinguish basic colors

- Ability to distinguish shades of color

- Extreme noise, intermittent

- Dust

- Fumes, smoke, or gasses

- Solvents (degreasing agents)

- Slippery or uneven walking surfaces

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :

- Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
