Let's Talk about the Role
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to help utility customers shape and accelerate their digital transformation journey across IT and OT domains. In this role, you will engage directly with customer stakeholders to understand business goals, facilitate strategic discussions, and translate transformation needs into actionable roadmaps, business requirements, and architecture recommendations.
This role is part of GE Vernova's Grid Software business global Enterprise Architecture team and supports the growth of our strategic consulting capability for utility customers. While the primary focus is strategic consulting, the role is expected to maintain strong awareness of solution architecture, delivery context, and enterprise feasibility to help customers move from strategy to actionable outcomes.
Based in Edinburgh and working in a hybrid pattern, you will support customers primarily across the UK and Europe, with travel of approximately 20–25% for customer visits, workshops, and regional events.
You will be supported by a team of experienced senior architects and will have opportunities to grow your strategic consulting, customer engagement, and architecture skills through hands-on mentoring and exposure to complex, high-impact utility transformation programs.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
· Support and contribute to strategic consulting engagements with utility customers focused on digital transformation and enterprise architecture alignment

· Produce customer-facing deliverables such as strategic roadmaps, BRDs, transition roadmaps, and advisory recommendations
· Translate business priorities into practical architecture direction and transformation plans
· Help shape enterprise opportunities by aligning customer needs with feasible and value-driven solution approaches
· Collaborate with internal teams across Sales, Presales, Product Management, Engineering, and Services
· Engage subject matter experts across cyber, cloud, infrastructure, data, and solution domains as needed
· Help develop reusable consulting methods, assets, and playbooks that improve the consistency of strategic engagements
What You Bring
· Extensive experience in architecture, consulting, solution strategy, or digital transformation roles
· Broad understanding of enterprise architecture across business, data, application, and technology domains
· Strong familiarity with utility environments and mission-critical utility solutions such as ADMS, AEMS/EMS, DERMS, or similar domains
· Experience facilitating workshops and engaging customer stakeholders in strategic discussions
· Experience creating customer-facing deliverables such as roadmaps, requirements documents, and recommendations
· Strong communication, listening, and presentation skills
· Ability to connect business outcomes with architecture and transformation strategy
· Ability to work across teams and engage technical SMEs when needed
A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject is a nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements. Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is beneficial, though practical customer-facing architecture experience is what matters most.
