About the Opportunity
This role is accountable for completing work on time, in full, and to the required standard. The Worker must ensure their own safety and that of their colleagues, while maintaining a clean, tidy, and productive work environment. The Worker is also responsible for performing their work while striving for continuous improvement.

What’s Involved
- Construct primary structures such as frames, keels, girders, and deck beams for vessels.
- Construct secondary structures such as walkways, handrails, equipment brackets and bases.
- Read and understand technical documents and workshop drawings.
- Adhere to the Austal Safety and Quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and productive work environment.
You’ll need
The successful applicant will be a trade qualified Fabricator/Boilermaker/Sheet Metalworker or Vehicle Body Builder who has:
- Experience in aluminium and/or steel fabrication or MIG welding
- A positive and professional work ethic, taking pride in finished work.
- Be physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, as well as at heights.
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
