Role Overview
This role will support the Head of Finance with the financial control, reporting and governance of a DFSA-authorised financial services entity.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate the month-end close, general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Prepare applicable UAE tax submissions, including Corporate Tax and VAT.

- Coordinate external audit requirements and respond to audit queries.

- Prepare statutory and applicable DFSA regulatory reports, ensuring figures reconcile to the accounting records.

- Prepare internal management reports and explain material variances.

- Assist in developing and maintaining finance policies, procedures and controls.

- Provide FP&A support to the Head of Finance with budgeting and forecasts, as required.

Experience and qualifications

- At least 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience ; financial services experience is preferred.

- DFSA-regulated firm experience is an advantage.

- Degree in accounting, finance or a related field; a professional accounting qualification is preferred.

- Good knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations and finance controls.

- UAE tax and financial systems experience is an advantage.
