French Speaking Financial Accountant

French Speaking Financial Accountant Key Responsibilities:

- Supervising members of staff (A/P clerk and Account Assistant-Management Accountant).

- Making sure the management accounts are prepared timely and variances explained.

- Approving bank transfers and liaising with banks when necessary.

- Carry out weekly bank reconciliations for all accounts (including ad hoc bank transaction journals).

- Prepare monthly fund requests.

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis (payroll / tax acts…).

- Assisting French Accountant in preparing CT returns and the annual statutory accounts.

- Preparing of Annual budgets in line with departmental requirements.

- Employees/supplier contracts: Keep updated contracts in file.

- Payroll administration (liaising with Cabinet Denjean ref. monthly payslips + annual staff health insurance returns + update social security annual rates.

- Responsible for the administration of French Companies; paying invoices, intercompany reconciliation, liaising with French Accountants in preparing the annual accounts.

- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure compliance with company policies and internal financial controls.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Experience in a similar accounting or finance role: Experience in the French Chart of Accounts. (French GAAP)

- Minimum education to A Level standard.

- Currently pursuing ACCA/CIMA qualifications/ Qualified by Experience.

- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

- Strong numerical accuracy.

- Ability to produce fiscal reports.

- Familiarity with financial systems. (ex. Workday fins).
