This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Fullstack Developer (Java/React) – German based in Brazil.
We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Developer with strong expertise in Java backend development to contribute to complex, enterprise-level software solutions.
You will design, build, integrate, and maintain scalable backend services and modern fullstack applications.
Working within an international, predominantly remote development team, you will contribute to microservices architectures and system integrations.
The role combines backend engineering with frontend collaboration, particularly using React.
You will also help strengthen development workflows through CI/CD automation, containerization, and comprehensive testing practices.

Accountabilities
In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, and continuous improvement of enterprise software solutions. Your main responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining scalable backend services using Java, preferably with Spring Boot.

Designing and implementing modern fullstack applications, with a primary focus on backend development.

Building and integrating REST APIs and connecting applications with existing systems.

Contributing to the design and evolution of microservices architectures.

Integrating relational databases and NoSQL solutions, particularly MongoDB.

Supporting frontend development, ideally using React.
-
Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications.

Ensuring software quality through automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Conducting code reviews, performance optimizations, and static code analyses.

Collaborating closely with a distributed, agile development team.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced Java developer with strong fullstack capabilities, a solid understanding of modern software architecture, and the ability to work independently within an international team. The following qualifications are expected:

At least 5 years of professional experience in Java backend development.

Strong knowledge of Java and preferably Spring Boot.

Good fullstack development skills and practical frontend experience.

Proven experience in system integration and the development of complex enterprise applications.

Knowledge of relational databases and MongoDB.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD processes.

Practical experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated quality assurance.

Understanding of modern software architectures, particularly microservices.

Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2 and JWT, as well as secure software development practices.

Very good German language skills.

Strong analytical thinking, independence, and teamwork skills.
The following skills and experience are considered advantageous:

Frontend development experience with React.

Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or comparable cloud platforms.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.

Experience with test automation tools such as Cucumber and Cypress.

Knowledge of event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka.

Experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as the ELK Stack or Dynatrace.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

Experience working in larger organizations, preferably in the financial services or banking sector.
