Job Description Summary
Every power plant outage depends on people getting home safely. In this role, you set the safety direction for Steam Power Services (SPS) across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific (EMEAA). You lead a regional Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team and report to the regional General Manager. You also act as the EHS leader for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Turkey (EMENAT). Your work protects field teams, supports customers and shapes how GE Vernova runs outages across the region.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the regional EHS team: Set strategy, guide your team and make sure every outage has the right level of EHS support. Onboard and support Site EHS Specialists so they work in step with the regional team.
- Oversee outages and customer needs: Manage EHS for assigned outages and scopes. Support customer pre-qualification during the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) stage. Take an active role in Outage Readiness Reviews and post-outage learning.
- Drive improvement with data: Analyze EHS data from multiple sources, including site entry status for field employees. Define actions and risk-reduction projects that improve safety results.
- Advance EHS transformation: Own assigned actions in the SPS EHS Lean Action Plan. Help roll out SPS Safety Global Programs.
- Keep the region compliant: Make sure employees understand and follow EHS policies and local regulations. Run internal audits, close corrective actions and support government inspections.
- Manage incidents: Lead reporting, investigations and action closure for incidents and injuries. Share lessons and mitigating measures across the region.
- Build capability: Keep EHS training assigned, current and complete in line with the SPS training matrix, customer requirements and local rules.
Work Location
- Work model: Remote. You work from your home office in Germany or Poland.
- Travel: You travel up to 30% of your time to sites, customers and team members across the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific (EMEAA) region
