About the role
The Auburn YMCA is looking for energetic, welcoming group fitness instructors who enjoy helping people feel confident and connected through movement.
Help us create a fresh, welcoming fitness scene where our whole community can move, connect, and feel at home. We’re especially interested in instructors who can lead HIIT, Les Mills, or other high-energy classes. Evening and weekend availability is preferred.

What you’ll do
• Lead safe, engaging group fitness classes
• Demonstrate exercises and offer modifications for different fitness levels
• Create an upbeat, welcoming experience that encourages people to return
• Prepare the class space and equipment before each session
• Follow YMCA safety guidelines and communicate with the Health & Wellness team
Requirements
What we’re looking for
• A positive, motivating approach to fitness
• Strong communication and group leadership skills
• Group fitness experience or certification is a plus
• Experience teaching HIIT, Les Mills, or similar formats is welcome
• Evening or weekend availability is preferred
• Interest in pursuing instructor training is welcome
