Now in our 14th year, with close to 400 employees in offices across Europe and the UK, we’re crafting a brilliant, relevant product that makes a difference in people's lives and the well-being of their families.

We’ve come this far by building a talented, diverse workforce on a fair culture and our strong values. Having this strong team of employees, we can serve those who really need our product to make their lives better.

About the role

We're looking for a Head of Regulatory Compliance to lead TransferGo's Group-wide Regulatory Compliance function. You'll be the appointed Compliance Officer and Outsourcing Officer of TransferGo Lithuania UAB, the main point of contact with the Bank of Lithuania. You’ll lead the regulatory compliance teams for both TransferGo Lithuania UAB and TransferGo Limited in the UK.

You'll functionally report to the Management Board and Supervisory Board, and administratively report to the Group Chief Compliance Officer.

What you’ll be doing

- Leading the Group-wide Regulatory Compliance function, including the regulatory compliance teams for both TransferGo Lithuania UAB and TransferGo Limited in the UK

- Acting as Compliance Officer and Outsourcing Officer of TransferGo Lithuania UAB, including governance of outsourcing arrangements and the outsourcing register

- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, the Articles of Association and internal policies

- Acting as the main point of contact with the Bank of Lithuania and other regulators

- Owning global regulatory reporting and ensuring returns are accurate and on time

- Leading licensing and authorisation, regulatory inspections and remediation projects

- Running the compliance programme, annual risk assessment, compliance plan and monitoring

- Identifying breaches and incidents and notifying regulators within deadlines

- Carrying out fit and proper assessments and managing governance-related regulatory submissions

- Monitoring regulatory change and assessing its impact on the business

- Reporting to the Management Board and Supervisory Board at least quarterly

- Advising and training business units, including compliance assessments  on new products

Here's what we'd love from you

- A university degree, ideally in Law, Economics, Banking, Business Administration, Finance or a similar field

- At least 5 years in a similar position, including leading a compliance team

- Strong governance experience working with senior management and boards

- Extensive knowledge of Lithuanian, EU and UK financial services regulation, including Payment Services and Electronic Money, Conduct of Business, Fit and Proper, Safeguarding, Outsourcing and third-party risk, Regulatory Reporting, Customer Complaints, and Internal Controls and Governance

- Regulatory licensing and authorisation experience, including handling regulator inquiries, examinations and inspections

- Experience owning regulatory reporting

- Experience governing outsourcing and third-party arrangements: pre-contractual assessments, outsourcing registers, ongoing monitoring and regulator notifications

- Exceptional written and spoken Lithuanian and English, with the ability to explain complex compliance topics clearly

- An impeccable reputation, no criminal convictions and nothing that would prevent you from holding the Compliance Officer and Outsourcing Officer key function positions at a financial institution

And if you can also do this stuff, even better

- Previous experience at a high-growth fintech or a regulated payments or e-money firm

- Hands-on experience with the FCA and UK regulatory regimes

- Familiarity with regulatory obligations across multiple EU jurisdictions

- Working knowledge of adjacent areas such as AML/CTF, GDPR and DORA

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail

- A proactive, collaborative mindset that balances compliance needs with commercial goals
