Janitorial Technician

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented Janitorial Technician in Gainesville, FL

What You'll Be Responsible For
This hands-on position supports janitorial services, commercial cleaning, floor care, and basic grounds maintenance to help keep our facilities clean, safe, and ready for daily operations

What You'll Do

- Clean offices, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and other facility areas, including dusting, cleaning glass and windows, removing stains, and performing floor care

- Remove trash from offices, restrooms, laboratories, common areas, and grounds

- Inspect assigned areas daily and report cleaning, maintenance, repair, or safety concerns

- Assist with basic grounds maintenance and keep walkways clean and clear

- Assist with periodic checks of facility ventilation and security systems according to manufacturer guidelines

- Follow cleaning procedures, safety instructions, and proper handling practices for cleaning supplies and equipment
What You'll Need

- Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements

- Consistent, reliable transportation and dependable attendance

- General knowledge of building cleaning, janitorial practices, and floor care

- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance and upkeep

- Ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and work as part of a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or GED

- One year of experience at a LifeSouth facility or two years of facilities experience

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
