SANDRA AND LEON LEVINE JCC
The Sandra and Leon Levine Jewish Community Center is a non-profit, social service agency founded upon Jewish ethics and values. The Center provides and initiates diversified social, educational, recreational and cultural programs within a Jewish setting. The LJCC is a partner in serving the community, is affiliated with the JCC Association of North America and a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte and United Way.
This is a Part-Time one shift per week position. We are currently looking for someone to work Sunday's 8:30am-12:30pm. Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
Qualifications / Attributes:
- Experience working with or taking care of young children.
Position Purpose:
- Create and maintain a safe and stimulating environment for young children (ages 7 weeks to 7 years).
- Work in a family-centered program and focus your duties on the needs of the LJCC families.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Engaging the children and modelling developmentally appropriate activities and positive behavior management techniques
- Regularly cleaning toys and common area surfaces.
- Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
- Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a daily basis.
- Changing diapers as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the JKid Club Coordinator.
Working condition:
- Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Occasional lifting of 25 pounds or more.
Requirements
- Ability to create a safe environment, free of any possible risks.
- Must enjoy being around children and creating a positive atmosphere for them.
- Energetic and positive attitude.
- Experience working with children and taking care of young children.
