About the team
The RBA participates in international efforts to address the challenges facing the global economy and financial system. It does so through its membership of global and regional forums and its bilateral relationships with other central banks. As part of these responsibilities, the RBA plays a central role in managing Australia’s financial relationship with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This includes participation in various IMF loan programs that help countries in need of financial assistance.
About the role
We are looking for a manager with automation, business process and/or risk management expertise to create significant improvements in how the RBA meets its financial responsibilities to the IMF and Treasury, particularly managing and executing financial transactions.
You will lead a root and branch overhaul of a complex system to increase automation and reduce risk, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and overseeing the process through implementation and beyond.
About you
You will have:
- Demonstrated experience with automating processes.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to the improvement of policies, systems and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage risks and issues
- Significant experience in managing internal and external relationships, and communicating and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders to successfully deliver change
- An understanding of automating payments messages will be seen as favourable, but it is not essential.
- It is also preferrable but not essential to have an understanding of the risks associated with financial transactions that involve transferring money between international and domestic banks accounts, and in different currencies.
We encourage interested candidates to apply as soon as possible, as this vacancy may close earlier than the advertised closing date.
