About Isembard
Isembard is building a network of high-performance factories for critical industries. We combine advanced machine tools, robotics and our own software, MasonOS, to make precision components for aerospace, defence, energy and frontier technology companies, with factories across the UK, US, Germany and France. Our mission is to forge industrial acceleration.
The role
Own manufacturing processes for high-precision CNC components from feasibility to series production: new part introduction, process validation, quality and continuous improvement.
You sit between engineering, production and the customer. In a young factory that also means commissioning machines, sourcing inspection equipment and helping build our quality system.
What you'll do
- Lead new part introductions from feasibility and process planning to series readiness.
- Create work plans, fixturing concepts and inspection plans.
- Run process FMEAs and root cause analysis, and work with CAM programmers to cut cycle times and raise first-time-right rates.
- Help build our EN 9100 quality management system.
- Be the technical contact for customers on manufacturing questions and DFM feedback.
What we're looking for
- A degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in CNC machining or manufacturing planning.
- A strong understanding of machining processes, materials and tolerances.
- Confident with CAD/CAM, complex drawings and GD&T.
- Analytical, structured and self-directed.
Nice to have
- Aerospace or defence manufacturing.
- EN 9100 or AS9100 knowledge or implementation.
- FMEA, SPC or Six Sigma.
- MES or digital manufacturing systems.
- An interest in robotics, automation and data-driven manufacturing.
Why Isembard
- Shape processes that will scale across our factory network.
- Work on mission-critical aerospace and defence components.
- Advanced machine tools and growing automation.
- Competitive salary and equity.
Location: On-site at our Hamburg factory.
