We're currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team at our Hemmant facility in Brisbane.

This is predominantly a Monday to Friday role , making it ideal for tradespeople seeking greater work-life balance while still working in a technically diverse industrial environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you'll play an important role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our cold storage and warehouse operations.

No two days are exactly the same. You'll be involved in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, reliability improvements and supporting critical infrastructure that keeps our operation running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across site assets and equipment

- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults

- Maintain conveyors, pumps, motors, compressors and associated equipment

- Support refrigeration and cold storage infrastructure

- Complete installation and improvement work

- Work closely with operations teams and external contractors

- Maintain accurate maintenance records

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

- Champion safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on maintenance work, takes pride in the quality of their work and wants to be part of a team where their contribution is genuinely valued.

You'll Bring

- Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent

- Experience in industrial maintenance environments

- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

- A proactive and safety-first mindset

- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Full Australian working rights

Experience in food manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, FMCG, processing plants, cold storage or similar industrial environments will be highly regarded.

Highly Regarded

While not essential, we'd love to hear from candidates with experience in:

- Industrial refrigeration systems

- Cold storage facilities

- Welding and fabrication

- Forklift, EWP or scissor lift operation

- CMMS and maintenance management systems

- Reliability or continuous improvement initiatives
