Location: 11181 Health Park Blvd., Suite 3000
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (No weekends)
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour ‎

Medical Assistant II - Primary Care

Join Our Team!
We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Medical Assistant II to join our growing Primary Care team. This position plays a vital role in supporting physicians and providers by delivering exceptional patient care, maintaining efficient clinic operations, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a primary care or family medicine setting and be comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Room patients and obtain vital signs.

- Review and document patient medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.

- Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatments.

- Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, injections, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.

- Administer injections and perform EKGs as ordered.

- Process prescription refills and medication requests.

- Assist with prior authorizations and medication coverage workflows.

- Complete patient follow-up tasks, documentation updates, and care coordination activities.

- Maintain accurate records within Athena EMR.

- Ensure exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies are stocked, clean, and ready for patient care.

- Monitor clinical inventory and report supply needs.

- Support a collaborative environment by assisting team members and promoting excellent patient experiences.
Qualifications
Required

- 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience.

- Experience working in a Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatric setting.

- Experience performing EKGs.

- Experience administering injections.

- Experience processing medication refills.

- Experience with medication prior authorizations.

- Strong organizational, communication, and patient-service skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
Preferred

- Medical Assistant certification (not required).

- Experience in a high-volume outpatient clinic environment.

- Athena experience Or any other EMR system
