Job Description Summary
Join the GE Wind Offshore MCU Department, responsible for defining the offshore Main Component Update (MCU) strategy for wind turbine components and providing the methods, transport, tools, and workforce for GE Wind Offshore projects. The MCU service covers all offshore activities, from vessel load-out of the installation/operations vessel through completion of mechanical and electrical operations.
As the Offshore MCU Project Engineering Lead, you will play a strategic role on the project — first managing the project engineering team for MCU and overseeing engineering across all offshore wind farms for Haliade 150 and Haliade-X, working in close interface with the installation vessel supplier, and subsequently overseeing the offshore wind turbine MCU scope.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Tender Phase

- Produces progress reports on MCU interfaces with marine subcontractors, identifying engineering solutions that satisfy offshore performance needs
- Supervises a team of engineers and drafters covering offshore MCUs — heavy lifts, sea-fastening, and wind turbine component assembly manuals
- Monitors hours spent on technical studies, reports to the MCU Package Manager and MCU service, and reviews/sizes the engineering budget and team accordingly
- Participates in individual engineering reviews and sets priorities with department managers
- Applies package strategy defined by the back-office to meet client needs for execution deliverables
- Serves as a key technical point of contact with the client, Marine Warranty Surveyor, and other third parties
- Manages technical interfaces with the client and other project subcontractors to support contract execution
