Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and – through their work – can make an impact on our industry. We’re here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.
Great supplier deals only create value when they’re structured, tracked, and negotiated well. That’s the work of Global Revenue Management. As part of Global Supplier Partnerships team, we build and grow key partnerships with major airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and global distribution systems (GDS). We turn supplier performance data into insights that support negotiations worldwide and maximise revenue for us and our partners. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, with regular exposure to senior leadership.
We’re looking for a bright optimisation analyst who pairs strong Power BI and Excel skills with sound commercial judgement and a knack for turning deal and pricing data into clear recommendations. Early-career analysts are very welcome.
What You’ll Do
- Grow revenue by monitoring key deal performance, supporting negotiations, and delivering strategy and performance insights using Power BI and Excel
- Analyse deal structures, exceptions, and trends to identify new revenue opportunities and support regional and global supplier proposals
- Partner with supplier relationship owners to model supplier deals, shape optimal deal structures for current and expected performance, and evaluate supplier proposals during negotiations
- Build and roll out dashboards and reporting for key strategic deals
- Help integrate supplier deal structures with unique fare content to optimise revenue, working across teams to keep processes consistent
- Develop and roll out optimisation plans for key regions in NAM, EMEA and APAC
- Provide deal performance analytics to support forecasting
- Translate supplier performance models into GBT revenue forecasts
- Create repeatable tools, such as templates, playbooks, and approval paths, so deal analysis stays consistent across regions
What We’re Looking For
- At least 12 months’ work experience in an analytical role. Pricing, deal, or revenue analytics is helpful but not required
- A graduate background in a numerate or quantitative subject, such as Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Statistics or Business
- Hands-on Power BI and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas), ideally including dashboards or models that other people rely on
- Experience with forecasting or scenario and deal modelling, and PowerPoint skills for executive-ready output
- Excellent communication skills: you turn detailed data into clear messages for leadership, leading with the takeaway rather than the method
- Strong stakeholder skills: you build trust with Sales, Product, Finance, and Client Management colleagues, manage competing requests fairly, and close the loop on every action
- A self-starter who takes a project from an open-ended ask to a finished output, including documentation and data validation
- A growth mindset: you ask for feedback early, teach yourself new tools, and share what you know with colleagues
- Calm and organised when priorities shift in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable digging into the detail while keeping the broader strategy in view
A plus: experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) for analysis, drafting, or workflow
