You Make Sure We're Buying Smart, Not Just Buying
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
ABOUT ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING
Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility, backed by the global scale and category expertise of Asahi's procurement network.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a Procurement Manager to own sourcing and supplier strategy for assigned categories here in the U.S., while collaborating closely with Asahi's global category teams. You'll negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive total cost of ownership — balancing local business needs with global best practices.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT
? Real ownership of category strategy, with direct influence on cost, risk, and supplier relationships
? A global network behind you — connect with Asahi's category teams and procurement best practices worldwide
? Visible impact — your negotiations and supplier decisions show up directly in the bottom line
WHAT YOU'LL DO
? Act as the local category expert, implementing category strategy and representing local business needs to Asahi's global category teams
? Manage CapEx and OpEx categories, negotiating contracts and supporting the broader team in negotiations and implementation
? Define and maintain sourcing strategies for locally managed categories, aligned to business needs and priorities
? Analyze market trends, competitors, and supplier data to inform sourcing decisions
? Build and manage supplier relationships, including evaluation, accreditation, and performance/quality controls
? Partner with Legal, Tax, and other functions to ensure supplier contracts are properly in place
? Manage category and supplier risk — price volatility, supplier stability, and volume assurance
? Track performance against procurement KPIs and lead continuous improvement projects to drive further cost and value gains
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-haves:
? University degree, preferably in a business-related field
? 5+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years in procurement
? Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
? Experience with procurement platforms and ERP systems
? Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Nice-to-haves:
? Experience managing CapEx/OpEx categories in a manufacturing or CPG environment
? Prior people-management experience
BENEFITS & PERKS
? Medical, dental, and vision coverage — effective the 1st of the month after 30 days
? Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance
? 401(k) eligible after 3 months, with company match — 100% up to 3%, 50% on the next 2%
? 120 hours of PTO annually, with accrual that grows the longer you're here
? 9 paid holidays (if they fall on your scheduled workday)
? A free beer after shift, because you earned it
PAY & SCHEDULE
? Salary: $102,000–$115,000/year
? Schedule: Monday–Friday
Full-time, exempt
